2008 BMW M3 Overview by Todd Matsumoto

Refinement is a word that best describes the 2008 BMW M3. Turn on the ignition and the engine is quiet, almost too quiet. Sure it delivers a lot more power than the previous version but it comes in a package that makes for a great daily driver.

Push this car hard through a turn and you'll feel safe knowing where the wheels are going. The car is a beast but unlike your average sports car, it's a beast with manners. And should you get yourself in trouble, you can mash on the brakes and those massive rotors will get you out of it.

Instead of just raw power, the people at BMW decided to add precision, feedback and response. Approximately 80 percent of the parts in the new M3 are new. Highlights include a carbon fiber roof (a first for a production car), a suspension largely constructed of aluminum, and an aluminum hood/plastic front fenders.

The engine is a V-8 that weighs 33 pounds less than the previous generation's straight six. It's also a much higher revving engine. The experience is somewhat similar to the VTEC Honda sports coupe but with a lot more oomph.

The power-plant is constructed from aluminum silicon. In using this method, heavy steel liners can be discarded. The crankshaft weighs in at a feathery 44 pounds. Peak power comes once you hit the 8,000+ RPM range. The designers claim that a high revving engine makes for better control of the rear wheels.

Like its bigger sibling, the M3 can be tuned by the driver. The throttle sensitivity, shock rates, and stability control can be modified from the dashboard X431 IV.

During a casual test, I found the normal mode to provide the best lap times. Control was neutral and easy to manage even during tight situations. The steering felt a bit disconnected at times. That's due to a bit of electronic over engineering on the engineers part and the thick design of the steering wheel. There was also a tendency for a bit of understeer when the car was pushed to its limits on during private track time.

During extended testing, the brakes had a tendency to fade even when competition grade pads were installed. The manual transmission felt precise but the shift throws were a bit longer than I'd like md802 review.

In everyday use, the new M3 offers practicality. The M3 has great everyday road manners and the trunk space is plenty adequate. An energy recovery system is used to help power the electrics. The power comes from the energy released during braking.

This machine has evolved into something that's approaching the performance of a 911 class car. It might look mild mannered but it delivers world class results. If you want a car that truly challenges your race driving skills, this is not the car for you. This is the kind of car that gives controlled feedback to the driver and even makes less skilled drivers look good.

But if I had to split hairs, this car doesn't have the overall refinement of a true 911. The performance numbers are great but the overall driver feedback can feel a bit dead at times. People used to driving a Honda Accord will love this. More experienced drivers will expect a more tactile experience.

Audi - Technologies Guiding Audi by Jakob Momme

The key factors guiding Audi to success are its technologies. Throughout the time the company is constantly improving the body structures, engines and in car technologies. These technical improvements serve as guiding features towards becoming a leader in the global automobile market.

Body Shells

Audi manufactures 100% galvanized cars to prevent corrosion. The company is the first mass market vehicle company to produce such cars. Earlier the company provided a 10-year warranty against corrosion of the body. However, the effectiveness of the newly adopted zinc coating has enabled the company to extend this warranty up to 12 years. Audi manufactured the first all aluminum car in the year 1994. The Audi A8 was the first car to make use of an aluminum space frame. This technology the, Audi Space Frame has been used consistently by the company to produce high performance vehicles. This frame helps to reduce the weight of the vehicles and provides the cars with superior aerodynamics.

Drive Layout

The company strongly disagrees to the conventional rear wheel drive layout privileged by other car manufacturers. The company favors the front wheel drive or the four-wheel drive layouts and makes use of a longitudinally front mounted engine in an overhung position, over the front wheels in front of the axle line. In 1970, Audi designed its own four-wheel drive (4WD) systems in passenger vehicles. The company has recently applied the Quattro badge to models such as the A3 and TT using the Swedish Haldex Traction electro-mechanical clutch 4WD systems.

Engines

Audi has always been the champion in the manufacturing of engines. The company manufactured the 2.1/2.2L, 5 cylinder engines as long lasting alternative to the conventional 6 cylinder engines in 1990's. The new models such as the A3, A4, A6 and A8 use the 1.8L engines and replaced by new Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) engines. Most petrol engines incorporate the fuel saving technology. The petrol engines manufactured by Audi include,

• 1.6 liters 4 cylinder 115bhp (86 kW)

• 2.0 liters 4 cylinder 200bhp (150 kW)

• 3 maxisys elite.2 liters V6 250-260bhp

• 5.2 liters V10 450bhp (336 kW)

The Direct Shift Gear Box

Audi introduced the DSG or Direct shift gearbox in the early 2000's. The DSG is an automated manual transmission drivable like the conventional automatic transmission. These systems use an electro-hydraulically controlled clutch instead of a torque converter. The Audi A3 and TT make use of this system.

Twin-charger Technology (TSI)

The conventional engine with at least 1.4L capacity is combined with a turbocharger and supercharger to produce high power output, with lower levels of carbon-di-oxide emissions elite md802. These engines are extremely fuel-efficient compared to a non-turbo engine.

This engine produces an output of 140 and 170bhp (127 kW). These engines have gained popularity amongst the motoring press and public. The engines have possible entries into the Audi range with the Audi A3 and Audi A4 models.

Audi has strived constantly to improve the performances of their cars with technological advancements. With the growth of technology, the company aims at growing to be the leader in technologically advanced automobile market.

Are All Synthetic Oils Created Equally by Steve Tarini

The internet is filled with websites and forums that constantly debate who makes the best oil. Putting brands aside let's look at what really matters most and that's what protects your engine best when price isn't a consideration.

We have all heard this ridiculous statement before when it comes to changing your oil; "oil is cheap insurance so change it often." I love that phrase "oil is cheap" because it illustrates people's attitude towards their oil. Since oil is the lifeblood of your vehicle it only makes sense to look at higher quality full synthetic oils on the market?

Why do people not bat an eyelash when they spend $25,000, $30,000 or as much $35,000+ for a new vehicle then head to a discount retailer to buy the cheapest oil they can find on sale. This rationale escapes me when for just a few more dollars and an ounce of research they can protect their investment plus get better performance maxidas ds708 price.

It's easy to determine what the best oils are once you understand the different classifications of oils. For the sake of this article we are only going to talk about synthetic oils. The time is nearly here that even some of the better petroleum oils on the market will eventually be obsolete soon because their limits have been reached.

If you want to separate the different synthetics on the market there are really 3 classes. Semi--synthetics, Group III synthetics and Group IV synthetics. Without getting into the chemical makeup of these oils we will attempt to explain the difference.

Semi--Synthetics are simply that, part petroleum part synthetic. The problem with these oils is there are no guidelines in place that says how much synthetic oil has to be in the formula. Some reports state that as little as 5% of the product can contain synthetic oil and be labeled a semi--synthetic oil. When we think of semi--synthetic we naturally think it will be a 50/50 mix maxisys elite, nothing could be further from the truth.

Group III synthetics are actually petroleum based products, but because of a ruling in the late '90's manufacturer's are permitted to label them as synthetic oils. The bottom line is Group III synthetics are actually petroleum oil that have gone through an extra refining process known as hydrocracking. This is a process where petroleum oil has undergone an extra process to eliminate more of the impurities in crude oil. Group III synthetics are the most popular on the market today, but do not offer the best protection.

Group IV synthetics are clearly true synthetics. If you find an oil that recommends a drain interval such as 25,000 miles then you can be fairly certain that this oil is made from a Group IV basestock. As of this writing there are 3 synthetic oils on the market that are independently recommending specific drain intervals outside the traditional recommendations made by car manufacturer's and the national quick lubes.

Two of these manufacturer's recommend 15,000 mile oil change intervals and one manufacturer recommends 25,000 mile change intervals. These oil change intervals do not void any car manufacturer's warranty and at least for one of these companies they have been practicing 25,000 miles intervals since 1972 without any interference from auto manufacturer's.

The price of a high quality synthetic oil should be the last thing you consider. A good synthetic oil will give you longer drain intervals and better fuel mileage. Additional facts can be found on the internet about these oils and we highly encourage you to investigate this further. Extending your drain intervals is not only safe, but permitted in every vehicle on the road.

An American Sports Car Icon the Ferrari 330 2 + 2 America by Adam I. Watkins

Few automobiles, even exotic luxury sport cars conjure up the image, the prestige and vision that the Ferrari 330 2 + 2 or what often has been referred to by aficionados as an American sports car icon. Yet in the minds of Ferrari serious devotees the vehicle was seen as an design let down for the Ferrari brand being little more than an over styled standard family car MaxiSys Mini.

Between the years of 1964 and 1967 fully over a thousand, the exact count being 1,080 Ferrari 330 2+ 2's were built. Especially for Ferrari this was a high vehicle output and production count. Yet even before the model 400 was dead and the birth of the 500 Superfast took place, the 330 America began production.

It might be said or summarized that all in all this model might really of initially of being offered to American Ferrari enthusiasts and owners as a stop gap model of sorts that grew whose popularity grew out of hand and scope. The 330 America was in essence a 250 GTE 2 + 2 with a new engine design based on the 400 Superamerica. Improvements to this engine included lengthening between the cylinder bore centers for better water circulation. Horsepower was rated at 300 Barrel Horse Power BHP at 6 maxidiag elite md802 price,600 rpm. Some, who might be considered more knowledgeable about the model and Ferraris overall, would add a further 40 horsepower to the count.

Once again, the engine was based on Colombo's design, but who did what to make it more efficient is open to question, intrigue and conjecture. After Colombo and Lampredi had gone Ferrari was loath to identify engineers even though he had no shortage of great men at his elbows. Vittorio Jano, one time Alfa Romeo racing engineer designer for one, Franco Roccri for another. And then there was gifted Luigi Bazzi, a technician for whom little seemed impossible. Hence what ever was done was accomplished by these and others who one day in the future will achieve the recognition that they so justly deserve.

Fifty of the 330 Americas , nee 250 GTE's were built before the "proper" 330 GT 2 + 2 was introduced formally at the January 1064 Ferrari press conference. Many of the invited guests were surprised: after all had the great Enzo relinquished his dynamism? For what they saw on stage was a two-door family coupe with four headlamps and even lackluster styling by Pinifarina. Of course everything in the auto world is relative - that is lackluster by the very standards of Ferrari enthusiasts.

Apart from the traditional Borrani wire wheels (later to be replaced by cast alloy wheels as standard issue) and the Prancing Horse, the 330 could well of been the result (at least in their minds) could well of been the result of some or even many other automobile manufacturer's dream.

Yet all in all, and at final count and popularity between 1964 and 1967 fully 1,080 330 2 + 2's were built. This is a high sales number for Ferrari. The car may have not been a hit or a home run in the minds of devoted Ferrari serious devotees, yet in the mind of the offshore American export market it reached great levels of love, acceptance and road approval.

All About Hybrid Cars by John Francis Amberden

Environmental issues have never been in the spotlight as much as they are today. Consumers are becoming much more environmentally conscious and companies are scrambling to appease them. This is also very true of automobile companies and this trend has lead to the development of hybrid cars.

As the name suggests, hybrid cars are just that - hybrids. They do not run on one specific type of propulsion or fuel system. Rather, hybrid cars can typically use at least two propulsion systems. While many systems have been investigated, the most common hybrid cars are those that can run on either gasoline or electricity in the form of a battery launch x431 pro plus. Most recently, hybrid cars have been manufactured which can use an ethanol derivative, commonly termed Flex Fuel.

Inventors have long been conducting experiments to create hybrid cars, without success. In fact, the first experiments were conducted in the 19th century when manufacturers were attempting to phase out steam-driven vehicles. The first successful hybrid car wasn't created until the turn of the 20th century, but it was more than 90 years before the hybrid car was released for public sale.

Typically, hybrid cars contain the main components of an everyday gasoline-driven car. There is a fuel tank, a transmission and a gasoline engine. However, today's hybrid car also contains electric mechanisms such as a battery and an electric motor. In some cases, the battery of the hybrid car is powered by solar energy Launch X431 Diagun. That way, the battery can recharge itself during the day. Some owners of hybrid cars prefer to switch propulsion systems depending on whether it is day or night. Amazingly, recent developments in hybrid cars have allowed for the kinetic energy created by the gasoline engine to be used to recharge the battery.

Hybrid cars are riding a wave of popularity. Most of the major car companies, including Toyota, Honda, and even Lexus, have introduced their own hybrid cars to the automobile market. With their smaller gasoline engines and reduced output of emissions, hybrid cars appeal to any socially responsible individual. The decreased size of the engines in hybrid cars have also led to new, sleeker designs and the incorporation of much lighter materials. So, the efficiency and power are quite satisfactory for the typical user, with hybrid cars reaching a horsepower of as much as 90. With the advancements in modern technology, it can only be expected that the hybrid cars of the future will be more efficient, cheaper and in great demand.

Advantage Of Disc Brakes

Whether you drive a Mercedes, a motorbike or a pickup truck, you probably have disc brakes on your vehicle. And even though you probably never think about their function, they are the single most important function on your vehicle. Though there are several types of motor brakes, the drum and the disk, the disk brakes are more commonly used. Disc brakes are far better than drum brakes because of their powerful stopping ability. Disc brakes handle substantially better in wet weather conditions. Why chance anything but the best?

What are Disc Brakes?

Put simply, disc brakes consist of two pads that grasp a rotating disk. The disk, or rotor, connects to the wheels by an axle. You control the grasping power. When you pull on the brake, the clamps come together on the disk, forcing it to stop spinning and causing your vehicle to slow down and eventually stop.

How Do You Control Disk Breaks?

In a car, controlling your disk brakes is as simple as pressing the brake pedal or pulling up on the emergency brake. For motorbikes, however, there are two ways to slow it down. You can use the right hand lever or the rear left foot lever OBD Tool. They actually work better when you use them together to better the efficiency and lengthen the life of the disc brakes and pads.

How To Maintain Disk Brakes?

Regardless of the type of vehicle you drive, you will probably need to consider break maintenance or replacement at some point Car Repair Tool. It is important to check the thickness of your brake pads. If these pads are bare they can cause pricey damage to your disc brakes.

You should also keep an eye on your vehicle抯 brake fluid. Your vehicle will run more efficiently with the occasional dose of fresh break fluid.

Replacing the break pads and the disc brakes fairly easily on your own. Don抰 hesitate to get help if you are unsure though. A simple mistake like a poorly fitted brake pad can cause scarring to your disk brake.

What Type of Damage is Possible To Your Disc Brakes?

These slotted steel wheels may help prolong the life of the discs because they reduce built-up heat and cut back on the possibility of warping. The creative designs are endless and each design has a different effect on the performance of your braking system.

Accessories That Protect Your Vehicle by Rita R- Powers

There are many accessories you can purchase to protect your vehicle. Those mentioned here are just some of the most often chosen. Whether you are looking to protect the interior or exterior OBD Tool, measures taken to keep your vehicle looking its best and at the same time insuring retention of the vehicle's top value will be highly beneficial when it comes time to trade it in or sell. Even if you are not looking at future values for sale, using accessories like new seat covers, floor mats or a car bra will make you proud to be seen in your vehicle as well as the protection these accessories will provide.

The front-end car bra is an accessory that will provide protection for your vehicle's front end Launch X431 Diagun. Specially ordered for your vehicle, the car bra is made to fit snugly and perfectly for maximum protection. Its value is in its ability to act as a guard from road hazards such as bugs, chemicals such as tar and gravel on roadways and from pitting damage on your automobile's grill and paint surfaces. The bra, while having an important protective feature, also gives your vehicle a classier appearance. Usually constructed of heavy vinyl and a firm padding underneath, the car bra will stand the test of time. Most vehicle bras are easy to install and remove. The benefits in adding value, protection and a sleek look to your vehicle are well worth the small investment of a car front-end bra.

Bug shields are yet another valuable protective piece you can add to your vehicle. Modern bug shields are designed aerodynamically to not only compliment the look of your car's front end, but they also maximize fuel usage. By not allowing a pushing type of air force against the vehicle, aerodynamically made shields create an ease in air flow so that your car doesn't have to use extra fuel to compensate for the additional pressure or work. Bug shields are great for protecting your car from road debris, excessive bug collection and chipping from stones or other road hazards.

A car cover is an essential accessory if you must leave your vehicle outside in the harsh elements of the sun, rain or snow. It will protect your car from wear and tear and the hazards of extreme weather conditions when garaging or cover protection is not available. It should fit snugly around the normally exposed portions of the vehicle. Car covers are usually made of heavy duty protecting materials that will keep the damaging weather elements away from the automobile's painted surfaces and will protect from the above mentioned weather hazards. Car covers are especially valuable if you use them while shopping or when the vehicle is parked anywhere someone or something can bump into the vehicle and create paint or body damage.

Floor Mats are the perfect accessory to not only give your interior a new or more finished look, they are indispensable in the protection they provide against wear and tear on the floor carpet. You can purchase floor mats in most any variety of colors, styles, and designs. They are available in materials such as rubber and clear plastic to name a few. Floor mats can be made specific to your vehicle or purchased at auto parts stores. The benefits to having floor mats cannot be overstated. They can aid in comfort when driving on long road trips, they protect from shoe damage in the acceleration area of the floor and they keep everyday dirt and grime from attaching to your vehicle's original carpet. A purchase of floor mats at nominal prices can give your vehicle protection from years of floor or carpet damage in the vehicle.

No matter what part of the world you live in, tinting your vehicle's windows can offer protection in many ways. Window tinting has long been known to reduce the heat coming into your vehicle. Anyone that owns an automobile in the southwest will tell you that the sun's heat (and damaging ultraviolet rays) is not only destructive, it is downright uncomfortable. So in these two ways, tinting can increase your comfort while driving and decrease fading or discoloration of the interior's vinyl or fabric work. If you choose a safety film, you will get even more protection.

A safety film on your vehicle's windows has been known to reduce injuries to occupants from flying shattered glass in auto accidents. If you have a large object hit your windshield, safety film may deter the object from coming directly into your vehicle and hitting any passengers. If you live in tornado or earthquake zones, this type of film can prevent injury as well by acting as a buffer between you and the shattered glass.

Lastly, but certainly not less important, seat covers have numerous benefits. Seat covers protect the material that covers the original fabric of your car's seats. This is very important for owners that live in sun drenched areas of the world, work in conditions where your clothing is contaminated with dirt, grease, or other destructive materials and for those owners that participate in activities such as biking, hiking, or swimming (the chlorine alone is severely damaging if you are not fully dried off). Seat covers are not just about protecting, they can also provide a tailored and clean look to your vehicle's interior.

Your vehicle will look well kept and well taken care of if you purchase seat covers before damage occurs. You can pull them off before selling or trading in your vehicle for that eye-appealing look that says you the owner took very good care of the car. Sometimes a nice and fresh looking interior will sell a vehicle even if the exterior is a bit worn.

While there are many other accessories out there for your vehicle, the ones mentioned here will go a long way in giving you peace of mind. You will know that you have done what you can to insure that your vehicle will look close to new even when it is ten years old. If you want to sell your vehicle someday, you have applied accessories that will most likely bring you maximum dollar at selling or trade-in time. A Review of the 1990 Dodge Dakota by Morgan Hamilton -

The best car I have ever had has been serving me for 16 years now, which is my 1990 Dodge Dakota. It never let me down, although I have always been giving it hard time. And it has been so from the very beginning as I got my pick-up truck for work, not for show off. As a building contractor I have gone through 16 years of hard work, and my 1990 Dodge Dakota has been there all along the way. Working hard at least five days per week; moving from site to site, hauling tools, machines, supplies and everything else that you can think of.

I have been pretty rough with my truck, throwing al the abovementioned in the back of it and rushing up and down, back and forth, sometimes even adding a trailer for the extras. Making sure that I was not being hard to it body only, but to the engine also, with the additional loads and chasing deadlines I was never disappointed with it Car Diagnostic Tool. It has always been great and I do not want to let it go.

Everybody knows that older cars are much more expensive to maintain compared to the new ones, but I know that my 1990 Dodge Dakota still has a lot to give. But in the moment it is not the same truck any more. The engine loses power, especially when with heavier loads it even stalls from time to time. Considering that you can never imagine it unless it has really happened to you launch x431 v plus, I dare say that it is a scary thing to stall in the middle of nowhere in an old truck with a trailer at the back.

Not being any good for me now does not mean that it can not serve well someone else though. I hope that my 1990 Dodge Dakota will go to a student or a college boy, who will use it for moving his stuff to and from school, for picnics, to go to the football training with it and things like that. With easy jobs like these it will be still doing great and I am sure because for the same purpose I used my mother's minivan back in the days and if it could do then my Dodge can for sure. I also hope that the next owner of my 1990 Dodge Dakota will be nearly as happy with it as I were, it will be very sad if it gets wasted.
